If you want to get better at Cold Market prospecting, this is definitely going to help you.
Watch the video below, I encourage you to watch in it’s entirety as there are some great strategies and tips throughout the entire training.
Cold Marketing Tips
The cold market, in my opinion, is where you’re going to get the majority of your business. The problem is that nobody wants to do the cold market prospecting.
When I talk about cold market, this is not talking about cold calling, knocking doors, etc. When you’re communicating with the people, one, you must keep your posture. Two is that when you’re talking to your prospects you don’t want to be talking to them all day long. If you want to sign people up for your business, or sell a product. What’s your goal? It’s very rare that you going to sell right on the spot. Your goal in the cold market should be to generate that lead, get that information and follow up with them later.
Is Cold Market for Prospects Who You Don’t Have Any Relationship With?
Cold marketing is when you are out and prospecting people for your business. If you’re at a restaurant prospecting the waiter or waitress. You’re asking questions, qualifying, gauging interest and to see if they open to your network marketing opportunity.
In cold market, my suggestion is focus on the business opportunity, focus on making money. One is that the presentation does the work for you. Two, if they are against the network marketing, you’re never going to see them again. With cold market prospecting, your goal is to say less to more people.
After our meeting we had prospected a guy and I had what is called “BIC” break in communication. We were talking, and I stopped him and said, “You know, what? We got to go, I have to go pick up my nephew. But if you give me your name and information I can follow up with you and see if you’re open to a side project if it doesn’t interfere with what you’re currently doing.”
The new network marketer, in the cold market, what they want to do is go into presentation mode right there, The prospect is asking, “What is it? What is it that you’re doing? I want to know.” If you have a break in communication the message you’re sending is you’re a busy business owner, and you don’t have all day, but get their information and follow up with them later.
