It may be your fault. IF you are struggling with motivation problems. But motivation is only part of it. Are you taking action when you are motivated?
WATCH the video below and see how one does NOT equal the other.
Motivation and Its Importance
A lot of times people believe that motivation equals action, so there’s a story that was told to me about a week ago. I carried it this week, about a guy who was scared to death to swim. He didn’t even want to get put in water.
There was a group of guys, who were like, “Let’s take swimming lessons,” so the first lesson they basically they went in, walked around, came to about hip deep and walked around holding the pool around. About 30 minutes the lesson was over. Next week, next lesson the guy puts on a life jacket, walked around again and then got a little bit deeper so he could float a little. He’s like, “Well, this ain’t bad at all.” So after the end of all his lessons, he ends up swimming. He learned how to swim.

The moral of the story is people think that motivation is going to get you to action. When actually action is going to get you the motivated. So if you are taking action in your business, do something to get you motivated. A lot of times people are like before I talk to this person I need to get motivated. Let me watch some Les Brown. Let me listen to Eric Worre to get motivated. But if you just, once you pick up the phone and make that first sales call, then all of a sudden you’re in action. Whether you get a no or whatever you’re in action now. Then you’re motivated to continue to move forward.

So instead of thinking that motivation is going to get motivated to take action, think about the action and then once you start doing that action it’s going to get you motivated. Did that help?
Wasn’t that powerful? I wonder how many other people battle motivation problems when it is really a an action issue. Be sure to share this with others.
